The Municipality of Solidaridad in Riviera Maya has begun collecting an environmental fee from all tourists. As a travel agent, I want to make sure my clients are aware that you will be required to pay the fee upon check-in if you are staying at one of the resorts listed below. The fees are:
For travel through December 31, 2017, a fee of $10 pesos (approximately $0.55 USD*) per night, per room
For travel January 1, 2018 and beyond, a fee of $20 pesos (approximately $1.10 USD*) per night, per room
Please note that by law of The Municipality of Solidaridad, it is the hotel’s responsibility to collect the fee from all guests; therefore, this amount will be charged to all guests and must be paid upon arrival.
